Can I receive phone calls or SMS?

If you keep both our eSIM and your primary SIM turned on, you will receive phone calls and SMS on your primary SIM. IMPORANT: You can incur in roaming fees from your carrier. Our eSIM are data only and do not support phone calls or SMS. But you can use apps like WhatsApp, Skype, Viber, etc. to make calls.

What exactly is an eSIM?

An eSIM serves as a virtual SIM card enabling the activation of a cellular plan from your provider without needing a physical nano-SIM card.

What are the steps to initiate my eSIM?

Follow these 3 easy steps to activate your eSIM: 1) Select your destination 2) Pick a data plan 3) Scan the QR code using your phone.

What distinguishes a physical SIM from an eSIM?

While a physical SIM is a small chip you insert into your device, an eSIM is a digital counterpart facilitating the activation of a cellular plan without requiring a physical nano-SIM card.

How can I determine if my phone is eSIM-compatible?

Do I need to remove the eSIM?

Your eSIM will automatically stop working when you exit the covered countries. However, when your trip is over, you can manually remove the eSIM from your phone settings.

When does plan days start counting?

It depends on the eSIM. Please read the activation email that contains all the instructions. Some eSIM start counting days only when you reach your destination country and your eSIM connects to the network. Some other eSIM start counting days as soon as you scan the QR code, so please refer to the email instructions you receive after the purchase.

Do I need to enable roaming settings?

Yes, the eSIM needs the roaming settings to be enabled. On iPhone devices you can enable it by going to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Roaming > Voice & Data. On Android devices you can enable it by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Roaming. IMPORTANT: Make sure to enable the roaming settings ONLY on the eSIM, not on your main SIM, otherwise you will incour in roaming fees.
